Winter Wonder is an opportunity for kids in 1st to 6th grade to explore the outdoors in a playful and meaningful way. Led by their own two feet, five senses, and natural wonder about wintertime occurrences, kids will put their curiosity to work, observing, categorizing, characterizing, hypothesizing, and making connections. Dress for the weather—this is an active, outdoor workshop!
Whatever the weather, we will meet at Lemonade Workshop to start our Winter Wonder Wanderings in the nearby Popple Nature Area. Precipitation will not slow us down, but in the case of dangerous conditions, we will observe nature from the safety of the workshop.
All children will be introduced to the Nature Workshop with a lesson in outdoor safety, but each week’s workshop will have a different theme, making it easy for newcomers to join in the 2nd session.
This workshop needs at least four outdoor explorers to run.
2nd 4 week session: $55 Feb. 15 - March 7
